The Peace Grove is near sites that once housed defensive weapons of war. Decades later, tall trees stand nearby and mountain trails run freely through the large regional Tilden Park.

Getting to Tilden Park is a wonderful drive up past the University of California, past the Lawrence Berkeley Lab, with sweeping views of the entire Bay Area.

Inside the park, find your way to Inspiration Point at the top of Wildcat Canyon Road.
Then hike north on the Nimitz Trail for about 1.8 miles, a nice walk along the ridge overlooking the bay.
Just beyond the long shady stand of eucalyptus you'll see a marker on the left pointing towards the Rotary Peace Grove.
