Kris Libunao

Long before Kris Libunao dropped in on a Berkeley Rotary Club meeting, she was well acquainted with Rotary at various levels. In high school, she was a member and Vice President of her Interact Club in San Bruno, California. Her grandfather served as a District Governor in Quezon City, Philippines, where he was mayor for three terms. Now Kris, an MSW candidate and social welfare researcher at UC Berkeley, continues her community service as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Albany, a candidate for the Albany City Council, and the latest member of Berkeley Rotary Club.

As CEO of Community Insights Cooperative, LLC, Kris is a social impact entrepreneur. She believes in community reinvestment, worker cooperatives, and elevating community wisdom, working with businesses and organizations to reimagine the workplace as spaces of connection, belonging, and dialogue through a play-based lens.
